Here Turtle, Turtle, Turtle

We headed to Ko'Olina Beach this weekend (so sad I am just now finding out about this beach) to feed the sea turtles that live in the little cove. There are about 5 turtles that find their home here because people continually feed them sea kelp from the rocks. They are like the Boise ducks- as soon as you come to the park with a bag of bread they seem to know that you're going to feed them and flock towards you. Well, large turtles coming up to you are about as frightening as the geese that hiss at you. Not sure why these gentle giants scared me, maybe because they swim right towards you with their mouths wide open. They are smart tho, gotta give 'em that...we couldn't find much kelp so I tried to give them romaine lettuce. It might look the same, but it doesn't smell the same b/c they wouldn't even get close to it.

This little lady loves the water. She hung out with us in the ocean for about 20 minutes before we decided that she'd had enough fun in the sun!

My little water buddy!
