Fascination.

Sand is fascinating for babies...she picks it up, scrapes it, tries to eat it, and then just stares at it...moving her fingers around and around. Isn't it amazing to think that life is just one big fascination for them right now? When is the last time you picked up a handful of sand and were amazed at it's very presence? Did you think about how it felt on your hand? Did you wonder if it would taste good? Did you pause to look at the granules and the different size rocks that comprise it?
