I'm so far behind. We've been gone the last 5 weekends, so I've been playing lots and now I need to document our fun!
Rewind to the end of June. We went on our first camping trip of the year with good friends, the Curry's. They are an adorable, in-love couple who know how to keep things fresh by flirting, smiling, joking and always having such consideration for the other. It's so refreshing to find friends who sincerely love each other and are enjoyable to be around. Plus, the kids love each other. BONUS! Natalia is Sydney's favorite girlfriend and Charlotte and Simone are coming around (now that Simone is finally being nice to her!) Jason's birthday falls the day before mine, so we decided to spend our birthday weekend up in the mountains together. We went to Silver Creek, my favorite camp spot ever. Ever. It's clean, there's a perfectly clear, cold and kid-friendly creek and an awesome hot springs to bathe in at night. Errr, I mean swim in.
The weekend was relaxing and fun. It included donuts (how can anything go wrong with donuts?), no fighting between kids, awesome nap and bedtime schedules, beautiful weather, and a thoughtfully planned out Hawaiian themed birthday dinner/party for me. Yeah, we even ate ribs. It set the bar high for the summer of camping that lie ahead of us.

We have not traveled or camped at all this summer and this makes me want to get out an do it. Maybe Silver Creek, sounds blissful.
