Sun River

If you know Robby and I at all, you're aware that Sun River holds a special part in our hearts and we LOVE going every year with Rob's oldest brother and his family. The girls soak up all of the cousin, Auntie and Uncle love they can get their hands on and Robby and I soak up someone else loving on them.
Mike, Jessica, Terri, Madison

It's usually the biggest trip of our summer, and we spend a week renting a house, biking, relaxing, swimming, eating and biking more.  This year took the cake as both girls were older and did so well on the bikes and were angels to put down at night allowing us many hours of domino playing with the "adults".

Sydney got to ride tandem with Daddy most of the time as our usual bike rides lasted over an hour and while she's great on her bike, an hour at the pace we held is a bit much.  She loved hitting all the bumps and side trails with him along with taking a break and allowing him to peddle solely up the hills.  Simone was an angel and never made a peep while riding on the back of my bike.  It was bliss.

And then there's this spit-fire little cutie.  She got a new bike right before the trip, and we brought this "pole" to save our backs and help push her up the hills.  Mostly she just wanted to sword fight with it, tho.

We rode ponies, relocated frogs across the bike trail so they wouldn't get squished, enjoyed ice cream, fed deer who ventured entirely too close for my comfort, and slept in.  We even got a whole morning to ourselves to take an 8 mile hike with Mike and Terri while the girls watched our ladies.  It was absolutely beautiful, but rained the entire way back down the mountain!

This was by far Simone's highlight of the trip.  She talked about it for days.

Catching frogs to transport to the other side of the river, which was located across 2 bike lanes.

Kind of feel like I am intruding on their special moment here, but can't get over the sweet smile Simone has pasted on her face while looking at Daddy.

Even Mommy got some love!

Selfie of a selfie!

I can't think of one thing not to love about this place.  When can we go back???

How fun Megan. I opened up your blog expecting to see China pictures, but obviously you are like me and you're behind. Great pics of everyone and nice to see more lay of the land. It reminded me a bit of the Sawtooth area. The hikes had to be great with so much to see. Beautiful place for sure.

If I clicked my heels three times I'd be in Sunriver.
