Caption Candids

I can't resist...there's just sometimes when you see a picture of Sydney and a caption comes to mind immediately- and then that's all I see when I look at the sweet picture.

For example, picture this:  it's 19 years from now and a spokesperson (SP) at the 2020 Olympics is interviewing Sydney.

SP- Amazing job today, Miss Gerichs...you broke the record for the shot-put disc throw.  How does that make you feel?
Sydney- I can hardly believe it myself.  I just followed the routine I've been doing since I was one and it got me where I am today.
SP- Tell us about this routine- and you said you've been practicing since age one?  That's impressive.
Sydney- Thanks.  I always start out with the national anthem.  It's important to recognize that we live in a free country where it's possible to achieve anything and be anyone you want.  It helps me focus.

Next, I always say a prayer asking the Lord to keep me steady, concentrated and strong.

Finally, I get into position, let out a big scream and give it everything I've got!

SP- Well, you certainly have perfected it. Congratulations, again!!!

HA! HA! HA! That's so funny Meg!!! What a great little journalistic story! Looks to me like you were at Kaneau Point (or however it's spelled). That last picture has the BEST! Keep it up Sydney ... show those boys a girl can do ANYTHING!

Shot put discus throw. Must be going to be a new sport in 2020. Never heard of it. I bet though that when you do get to 20yrs. you will be able to outthrow your daddy.
