We've been home three weeks- and the 3 1/2 years we spent in Hawaii feels like 10 minutes. When I talk to Laura about the places she's going, things she's doing, etc- it's weird to think that that was once my daily life...feels like forever ago. I haven't really missed the warm weather yet...and then today happened. Brrrrrrrr. It probably didn't help that it was in the 40's and we decided to walk to the zoo and spend what felt like 7 hours (when in reality it was only one). Brrrrrrrr.
Our last few days in Hawaii were spent packing, shipping the car, selling what little belongings we had, trying to give extra TLC to Sydney who ended up with Roseola, cleaning and little sleep. BUT, it was also spent enjoying time with our last visitors, walking on our favorite beaches, eating our favorite foods, and soaking up warm weather.
Robby's oldest brother, Mike, and his wife Terri along with their 3 kids; Matthew, Jessica and Madison came to Hawaii the week before we left and stayed until the day after we left. A large part of our decision involving the date to move was based around being able to spend time with them on the Islands. I'm so glad we did- we enjoyed showing them the North Shore- taking them snorkeling at Sharks Cove, convincing (some of them) to jump off the rock at Waimea, eating a delicious (as always) Matsumoto, walking (almost the entire) Kailua beach, dining at CPK and for Robby- an unforgettable trip parasailing with his neices and nephew.

| Our last stroll down Kailua Beach...for now. ;) |
| Mmmmmm...Matsumoto knows how to do it right. |
| A night out in Waikiki- here we come CPK! Matthew was SOOOO excited about going to the real CPK...the frozen pizzas from there are his favorite, so he was thrilled to be able to try the "real" thing right out of the oven...and even agreed with me that it's way better. CPK is the very first and last place we dined at while living in Hawaii. |

| My favorite street act. |
| The para sailing gang! |
| "Ooohhh! This is gonna be fun! Thanks Aunt Julie and Uncle Dale!!!" |
| Up, Up and Away! |
| And a quick dip! |
Leaving the North Shore, we were offered this gorgeous sight as our last one.
Good bye, Hawaii. Mahalo for everything you don't know you did for us and the smiles, laughs, memories and love we are taking with us.

I got teary eyed reading that post my friend. This has been the toughest without Megan week so far. Reality is kicking in. We miss you terribly and can't wait to catch up. Sorry I didn't get a sec to return your call yesterday. Let's shoot for Monday. Bit is either sick or has allergies. I hope it's not the latter. I will keep you posted.
