The Great Outdoors

We've enjoyed 4 camping trip so far this summer, with one still in our future.  I have pictures from two of those and who knows where my camera was on the other two. 

We kicked off the season at Cascade Lake with my parents for the 4th of July.  While the lake is pretty, it's dirty dirty.  Sydney accidentally gulped some while showing Gramma all the new things she had been learning in swim class and the next three days and remainder of our trip were spent with her puking and having diarrhea.  Bummer weekend!  She did learn to ride her new bike while up there- some pretty steep hills had us running after her to avoid a crash, and she preferred Daddy to walk beside her.  She must feel safer with his big hand on her back.  I don't blame her.

Silver Creek Plunge was next- my new favorite place- and enjoyed with the company of our friends, the Currys and Schneiders.  It was our first friend camp trip in YEARS and was so nice to have Syd's little buddies there to hang out with her.  So much fun and a tradition that has begun.

We were up at Baumgardner this past weekend for a resurrected annual Brown Family Camping Trip, but the fires got in the way and we were asked to leave by Saturday at 10 am.  At the end of the month we head to Edna Creek for 5 days.  We bought a new tent that sleeps 10.  Honestly, tho- if you squeeze 10 people in there, where will your clothes fit, where will you walk and how on earth will you breathe??? It is nice to have such a roomy space, especially when you pack up your entire house to go.  Whoop!  I love camping!!!
